James Robert Arriola

Funeral services for James Robert ""Gooberry"" Arriola, 58, of Hudson will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jeffery Dean Arriola officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Arriola was born April 11, 1952 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Emma Jean (Tillis) and Joe A. Arriola, and died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in Nacogdoches.

A former resident of Hudson and Lufkin, Mr. Arriola had resided in Nacogdoches for two years. He retired from Ronson Construction and was a member of the Lufkin First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Arriola was a Harley motorcycle man and loved having a good time with friends and family.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, James ""Robbie"", Jr. and Amanda Arriola of Alto; grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Arriola of Alto; step-granddaughter, Kaielee Jordan; stepdaughters, Shanda Conditt and husband Clay of Lufkin and Mary Beaty of Hudson; stepson, Patrick Beaty and wife Renea of Arkansas; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor and Ava Paulette Beaty; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Wayne and Jackie Arriola of Wells, Jerry Don Arriola of Nacogdoches, John and Lisa Arriola of Huntington and Jeffery Dean and Roseanne Arriola of Lufkin; 11 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Arriola was preceded in death by his wives, Beverly Ann Nash Arriola and Paulette Beaty Arriola.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
