Marjorie Lindsey Young

Graveside services for Marjorie Lindsey Young, 83, of Lufkin will be held Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shofner Cemetery with Pastor Randy Brown and Bishop Ted Adams officiating.

Mrs. Young was born February 9, 1927 in Huntington, Texas to the late Zannie G. (Johnson) and Franford L. Lindsey, and died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and retired from the Lufkin State School. Mrs. Young was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Young of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe Moore of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kay Stanbery of Beebe, Arkansas; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Donna and Donnie Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister and brother-in-law, Virgie and David Walker of Lufkin.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home in Lufkin.
