Robert Clenton Phillips

Funeral services for Robert Clenton Phillips, 63, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Interment will follow in the Shofner Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips was born October 14, 1947 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Annie Mae (Barron) and Virgil Thomas Phillips, and died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and was a machinist at Lufkin Industries for 32 years. Mr. Phillips was a member of the Ora Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Phillips of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Darrell and Crystall Phillips of Huntington; daughter, Cassandra Ann Phillips of Huntington; stepdaughters, Tanya Mott of Lufkin and Neva Horn of Huntington; grandchildren, Clinton Phillips, Hailey Phillips, Thomas Horn, Cody Horn, Matthew Horn, all of Huntington and Sabrina Mott of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Windle Hightower of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Diane Phillips.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
