Funeral services for Monica Ganaway Langston, 58, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mrs. Langston was born October 4, 1952 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to Amil Ernest Ganaway and Sarah Louis ""Sally"" (Null) Ganaway. She died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Langston had worked as a Department Supervisor in the Returned Check Division of Brookshire Brothers for 16 years. She loved to work in her yard, to work with crafts, and she loved playing with her grandbabies. Mrs. Langston was of the Lutheran faith, and had lived in Lufkin for the past 20 years.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Rodney Horn of Lufkin; four grandchildren, Loren, Kendall, Graham and Everett Horn; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Kristi Langston of Tyler and Kyle and Donna Langston of Beaumont; father, Amil Ganaway of Greenville, Illinois; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Jerry Wheeler of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, Mary and Roman Paoletti, Cindy and Dwayne Christian, all of Carlyle, Illinois, Melanie and Billy Roach, Sarah Ganaway, and Liz and Jeff Mollet, all of Greenville, Illinois; brother, Amil Ganaway of Smithboro, Illinois; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Langston was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Tommy Langston; and her mother, Sally Ganaway.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Mollet, Michael Mollet, Kenneth Horn, Sean Langston, Larry Langston and Kalin Cobb.
Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Cobb.
