Jacquelyn Ann Thompson Powers

Funeral services for Jacquelyn Ann ""Jackie"" Thompson Powers, 46, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Estes Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in the Narrow Way Cemetery.
Mrs. Powers was born August 4, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Affie Vernell (Brown) and Jack Robert Thompson, and died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Powers was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She was the office manager for Drs. Malladi and Reddy, and worked for Dr. Jacob Thomas for numerous years. She attended Redland Baptist Church. Mrs. Powers was a wonderful wife, mom and Nana. She enjoyed her work and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Lloyd Powers of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Amy Powers of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Ricky Tubbs of Huntington; grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Jaycee Tubbs, Wesley Tubbs, Hailey Powers and Avery Lynn Powers; brothers and sister-in-law, Danny and Karen Thompson of Katy, Bo Thompson and Mark Thompson, both of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Will Crawford of Lufkin, Linda and Vince Baker of Huntsville and Angie and Mike Beard of Baytown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darrell and Ethelene Powers of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Jeanette Powers of Lufkin; special friends, David, Shelia, Davey and Melinda and Chad Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Chad Sullivan, Wheel Crawford, Brent Slaton, Jeff Cook, Richard Tubbs, Todd Mitchell and James Stanley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Mitchell and Dennis Williams.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
