Geneva Brock Whitworth

Funeral services for Geneva Brock Whitworth, 78, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bud Bonner officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Whitworth was born March 2, 1932 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Sam Brock and Beulah (Bynum) Brock Woensdregt, and died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. Mrs. Whitworth retired from White's, Inc. and was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gay Whitworth of Lufkin; daughter, Janice DuBose of Lufkin; grandchildren, Misty DuBose, Clint DuBose, Sunny McShan and Lacy and Dwayne Shoemaker; great-grandchildren, John Michael McShan, Whitney McShan, Kylie Jo Stuart, Hannah Grace Shoemaker and Claire Elizabeth Shoemaker; father of her children, Binis Whitworth of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Beatrice Smith of Huntington and Audrey and Pete Montes of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Womack, Tommy Buschman, Amrat Rowjee, Sam Anderson, David Kimling and Jon Smith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
