Graveside services for Rebecca Jean ""Maw Maw"" Sanders Cree, 61, of Huntington will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Huntington Cemetery with Brother Joe Sawyer and Reed Amadon officiating.
Mrs. Cree was born April 16, 1949 in Seattle, Washington to Georgia Lou (Sanders) and Randy S. Hardy, and died Thursday, January 13, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Cree was a 30 year resident of Huntington. She received a Masters Degree in Social Work and was a teacher at the Career Development Center College. She had also been a trainer and manager for the Innovative Learning Management Co. She traveled the world, including the Micronesian Islands, teaching adults innovative learning abilities. Mrs. Cree was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Howard Cree of Baker City, Oregon; daughter, Valerie Cree of Huntington; granddaughter, Kristina Moak of Burnet; great-granddaughters, Lillianna Cree and Julietta Almagaur, both of Huntington; mother, Georgia Lou Kirwan of Huntington; grandmother, Emma ""Nanna"" Sanders of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Marie Cree; and granddaughter, Georgina Marie Cree.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Fulsom, James Morrison, Charles Cree and Kenneth Ocker.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
