Linda Nickette Vanya Delauro

Funeral services for Linda Nickette Vanya DeLauro, 65, of Lufkin will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mrs. DeLauro was born July 24, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Genevieve (Cummings) and Loye Kennerly, and died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in a local hospital. She resided in Lufkin most of her life. Mrs. DeLauro dedicated her life to her husband and family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Al DeLauro of Lufkin; children, Teresa Hendrix and husband Nathan of Big Sandy, Tina Williamson of Diboll, John Vanya, Jr., David Vanya, Sr., both of Livingston and Dana Vanya of Lufkin; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Lorraine Lodigiani and husband Mario of Fairview, Elizabeth Paulesson and husband Jim of Garland, Andrew DeLauro and wife Kimberly of Clear Lake, and Daniel DeLauro and wife Sarah of Allen; 11 step-grandchildren; brothers, William ""Bubba"" Kennerly of Tyler and Mike Kennerly and wife Leslie of Lufkin; sister, Suzanne Clary of Lufkin; special uncle and aunt, Dr. J.D. and Edith Parkman of Livingston; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeLauro was preceded in death by her grandmother who raised her, Alta Cummings.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: David Vanya, Jr., Ryan Bartosh, Jerry Williamson, Michael Williamson, Billy Hendrix and Nathan DeLynn Hendrix.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
