Harold Lloyd Goggans

Memorial services for Harold Lloyd Goggans, 63, of Lufkin will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Dr. John Greene and Brother Vic Bass officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Goggans was born July 11, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Aboline (Havard) and Harold R. Goggans, and died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Goggans was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He worked for the Lufkin Police Department for more than six years, and retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety following more than 20 years of service as a Highway Patrol Trooper. After retiring from DPS he worked for the Trinity County Sheriff's office. Mr. Goggans was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Goggans of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Duane and Stacy Stubblefield of Arlington; daughter, Amy Luce of Port Neches; grandsons, Zachary and Zane Lloyd Stubblefield, both of Arlington, Scott McLeod of Arlington and Michael Alcaniz of Athens; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Loretta Freeman of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Jeffery Freeman of Huntsville; former partners, Bo Dunkin, Kervin Largent and Steve Sikes; and numerous brothers and sisters in law enforcement.
