Funeral services for Gregg (Moon) Mullins, 53, of Burke, will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend C.G. ""Buster"" Grigg and Reverend Gary Fannon officiating. Private graveside services will be held in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Mullins was born December 12, 1957 in Freeport, Texas, and he passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs).
Mr. Mullins had lived in Angelina County all his life. He worked as a millwright for Temple-Inland for more than 15 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Diboll.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mullins of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Calynn Mullins of Lufkin, Tyson and Jessica McMullen of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Tanner and Tinley Mullins of Lufkin; mother, Ruth Mullins of Burke; mother-in-law, Betty Calhoun of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bob Pennington of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Patty Mullins of Jeffersonton, Virginia; caregiver and special friend, Gearline Davidson of Apple Springs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his father, Howard Mullins, in February 2011, and sister-in-law, Sharon McClure.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Crager, David Crager, Corry Crager, Richard Crager, Wayne Clark and Danny Mullins.

The family extends a special thanks to A Pineywoods Home Health.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
