Graveside services for Frances Adcock Thrash, 83, of Hudson will be held Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Huffines Cemetery in Atlanta, Texas with Brother James Hughes officiating.
Mrs. Thrash was born July 15, 1926 in Mira, Louisiana to Oby and Lena (Linson) Adcock, and departed this life Monday, May 17, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Thrash loved to have a garden and enjoyed canning her vegetables each year. Her enjoyment came from watching things grow and sharing them with everyone. Mrs. Thrash's greatest enjoyment in life was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and was surrounded by love her entire life. Mrs. Thrash was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Wayne Ellis of Lufkin, Peggy and Charles Dunlap of Atlanta, Donna Ellis of Queen City, Judy and Tom Blaine of Belcher, Louisiana and Bobbye and Jay Henderson of Bossier City, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Downs of Mira, Louisiana; loved as a daughter and son, Martha and Ralph Loggins of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Lee, who was the father of her children; second husband, Vernon Murph; son, Henry George Lee, Jr.; and brother, Arvel Adcock.
Pallbearers will be Steven Ellis, Brant Johnston, Logan Puckett, Ethan Puckett, Terry Walls and Jason Hattermann.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the home of Marcia and Wayne Ellis, 157 Sprucewood Drive, Lufkin, Texas at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010.
