Royce Fritz St.

Memorial services for Royce Fritz, Sr., 71, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin. Officiating will be Jack Runnels. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Fritz was born December 31, 1939, in Houston, Texas, to the late Lula (Stephenson) and Alfred Fritz. He died Friday, December 31, 2010 in a Lufkin hospice facility.

Mr. Fritz owned and operated Royce Fritz & Sons Heating and Air Conditioning for more than 20 years, as well as Royce Fritz Real Estate Inspection for 41 years. He was known for his barbeque and his intense love for the color red. Friends are invited to wear red in his honor to the memorial service. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mr. Fritz had resided in Huntington for the past 4 years, and previously lived in Hudson for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Fritz of Huntington; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Katrina Fritz of Sugar Land, Royce, Jr., and Selena Fritz of Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Adam King of Lufkin; grandchildren, Daniel Fritz, Jesse Fritz, Haley Fritz, Royce Fritz III. and wife Cytera, and Skylar King; great grandchildren, Hadyn Fritz and Kingston Royce Fritz; and sister, Mylee Shannon of Houston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lufkin Central Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2500 N. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904; or to Hospice in the Pines, 116 S. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
