Graveside services for Albertine Gandy, 90, of Apple Springs, will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie in Trinity County with Jim McDonald officiating.
Miss Gandy was born October 6, 1919, in Apple Springs, Texas, to parents William and Enna (Taylor) Gandy. She died Thursday, August 26, 2010 in a Nacogdoches hospital.
Miss Gandy lived in Apple Springs all her life except the months away while teaching school. She taught school 35 years, the last 24 years in White Oak. Albertine was a member of the Centralia Church of Christ.
Albertine was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Sam W. Gandy. She is survived by her nephew, Dr. W.E. ""Bill"" Gandy of Nacogdoches, and his two daughters, Leslie and Julie.
