Vickie Diane Burnett Oates

Funeral services for Vickie Diane Burnett Oates, 50, of Pollok will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Sharon Boins officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Oates was born November 22, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Sunday, August 29, 2010 in a Lufkin hospice facility.

Ms. Oates had worked for Lufkin Industries for 26 years. She was a beloved mother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her son, Chance Garrett of Pollok; mother, Aline (Goodwin) Burnett of Pollok; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mickie and Bruce Clifton of Pollok and Robbie and Greg Kendrick of Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Marion James of Nacogdoches, Joe James of Germany, Henry and Carolyn Burnett of Pollok, and George and J.T. Burnett of San Augustine; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Oates was preceded in death by her father, Frank Burnett.
