Wanda Lee Hicks Warner

Wanda Lee Hicks Warner, 77, of Diboll died Friday, March 4, 2011 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Warner was born June 20, 1933 in Eakly, Oklahoma to the late Ethel (Buie) and John Roland. She had resided in Diboll for the past four years and was a former longtime resident of Houston. Mrs. Warner was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy Mark Warner of Diboll; daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Alvin Hodges of Emmet, Arkansas, Anita and Terry Thornhill of Lufkin and Marie and Mike Hendry of La Porte; sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Elizabeth Hicks of Lufkin, Eugene and Bonnie Hicks and Floyd Lee Hicks, all of Hobbs, New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Roland of Eakly, Oklahoma and Gene Roland of Alaska; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warner was preceded in death by her daughter, Susie Hicks; son, Paul Hicks; first husband, Roy Lee Hicks; two sisters; and four brothers.
