Sandra Williams Brooks

Memorial services for Sandra Williams Brooks, 55, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, January 30, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Mr. Keith Jones officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brooks was born July 23, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Marge (McWilliams) and J.P. Williams. She died Friday, January 28, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Brooks had been a teacher for the Hudson and Houston Independent School Districts. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She had lived in Lufkin for the past 19 years, and previously resided in Athens, Texas for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Darrell Brooks of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Tommy May of Nacogdoches; daughter, Sarah Brooks of Lufkin; grandsons, Jackson May and Walker May, both of Nacogdoches; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Janie Williams of Prosper, Texas; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends and loved ones until 5:30 p.m.
