Verna Elaine Deal

Memorial services for Verna Deal, 87, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Williams officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Deal was born October 7, 1922 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Nancy E. (Marshall) and George Pullen, and died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at her residence. Until recently she had enjoyed living in the Burro Mountain Homestead in Silver City, New Mexico and was a faithful member of the Burro Mountain Church. She was a Lufkin resident for most of her life and worked as a Bank Auditor at Lufkin National Bank for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Bruce of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Anna Deal of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Sherri Denman, Jennifer Moss, Tracy Rook, Jamie Peshoff, Justin Deal, Heather Bruce and Myriah Deal; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Fena Marshall of Sugar Land.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Deal was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Deal; daughter, Jo Carole Morrison; grandson, Chris Morrison; one brother; and one sister.
