DECEASED NAME FOR NEWS: Cecil David Harbour

Funeral services for Cecil David Harbour, 91, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Harbour was born August 15, 1918 in Neches, TX to the late Milton and Dovie (Gammell) Harbour and died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Harbour had resided in Lufkin most of his life and graduated from Rusk High School. He retired from Champion paper mill after for 37 years of service. While he was employed there, he served as the 1808 IAM Union president for many years. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. His hobbies included being an avid golfer, Lufkin Panther Football and UT Longhorn Football supporter, and coaching Lufkin Youth Baseball for 14 years. Mr. Harbour was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ. He loved his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mabel Harbour of Lufkin daughter and son-in-law, Karan and Robert Graham of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Bonita Harbour, of Lufkin, Joe and Chris Rozell of Jacksonville; son-in-law Ray Modisette of Lufkin; grandchildren: Aaron and Wesley Graham of Lufkin, Jennifer and husband, Glen Dirksmeyer of Livingston, Lacy Pavlic of Lufkin, Brian and Jeffery Rozell of Jacksonville; great grandchildren: Noah Pavlic of Lufkin, Kerrigan and Kennison Rozell of Jacksonville; sister, Bertie Birdwell of Lufkin; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Modisette, sister, Greta Trevathan, brother, Melvin Harbour and nephew, Hub Trevathan.
Pallbearers will be Charles Fenley, Billy Lumpkin, Tony Rawlinson, Jamie Stubblefield, Bobby Rice and Billy Rawls.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Lannie Stegall for care and help with our dad.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
