Funeral services for Delbert Ulyses Warren, Jr., 31, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Minister John Charles Tarver officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Warren was born June 29, 1978 in Houston, Texas to Charlene (Tarver) and Delbert Ulyses Warren, Sr., and died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at his residence.
A former resident of Zavalla, Mr. Warren had resided in Lufkin for 10 years, and had been a Boilermaker at AltairStrickland in La Porte for five years. He loved watching M.M.A. and U.F.C., and also fought in the M.M.A. He was a very spontaneous person. He loved his children, family and friends. He was always true to himself. Mr. Warren was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Johnson of Lufkin; children, Katelyne Warren, Memphis Warren, Brian Williams, Kiera Williams and Katelyn Williams; mother, Charlene Warren and John Emmerson of Lufkin; father, Delbert Warren, Sr. of Danbury; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Donna Warren of Houston; sisters, Amy Warren and her son Darrell of Lufkin and Tanya Warren and Robert Horner of Porterville, California; stepsister, Amanda Bowls of Frankston; grandmother, JoAnn Tarver of Lufkin; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Tarver; stepmother, Sally Warren; and cousin, Carrie Hobson Chalender.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Patillo, Steven Wright, Eddie Anderson, Nick Thomas, Dustin Mitchell, William ""Flash"" Beatty, Jason West, John Glaze, Johnny Peden and Keith Nelson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, Texas Bluebonnet Chapter, P.O. Box 1836, Allen, Texas 75013.
Memorial contributions may be made to a fund that has been established in Mr. Warren's name at Huntington State Bank.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
