Funeral services for Willie Crane, 89, of Houston will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Joe Sawyer officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mr. Crane was born June 9, 1921 in Millry, Alabama to the late Dora Mae (Harris) and Soloman Lonzo Crane, and died Friday, January 7, 2011 in Houston.

Mr. Crane served in the U.S. Army and retired from Container Corp. in Florida after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Brewton, Alabama Masonic Lodge. Mr. Crane was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Tillie Crane of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Marty Crane of Montgomery, Alabama; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Burl Ivy of Cypress and Ann and Bob Seaman of Crestview, Florida; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Crane Vaughn of Mississippi; brothers, James Crane of Mississippi and George Franklin Crane of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crane was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Bill Ivy, Clint Ivy, Kyle Ivy, Mario Rodriguez, Ricky Crane and Bob Seaman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Burt and Robert Huffman.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
