Leo Boyd

Visitation for Leo Boyd, 71, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Boyd was born July 10, 1939 in Brookeland, Texas to the late Martha Ann (Armstrong) and John Wiley Boyd, and died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in a local hospital.

A former resident of southern California, Mr. Boyd had resided in Lufkin for 4 1/2 years. He served in the U.S. Army and drove for various trucking companies for many years. Mr. Boyd played the guitar, and understood there is no other music besides country western music. He was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Ann ""Jo"" Boyd of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Lisa Boyd of Lufkin; daughters, Theresa A. Arredondo and partner Lorraine Webb of Monrovia, California and Debra L. Caple of Duarte, California; granddaughter, Andrea C. Caple of Sherman Oaks, California; grandson, Michael R. Boyd of Ottawa Lake, Michigan; sister, Arnell Paul of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
