Richard Browning

Funeral services for Richard ""Little Richard"" Browning, 37, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stephen Pinkney officiating. The Lufkin High School Class of 1991 will bring Resolutions and serve as flower bearers. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Browning was born February 11, 1973 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Saturday, January 29, 2011 in a Houston hospital.

Richard graduated from Lufkin High School in 1991. He was employed at Grinding & Sizing, and was a loving and devoted father of She'Ara and Chari'te Browning. Richard loved being around his family and friends, and was always up for a good game of poker. He enjoyed barbeques and football games.

He is survived by his two daughters, She'Ara Browning and Chari'te Browning, both of Lufkin; the mother of his daughters, LaShonda Henderson of Lufkin; parents, Milton and Patricia Browning of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and LaQuanda Browning of Lufkin and Gary and Nicole Browning of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Sheasta and Torres Mott of Lufkin; four nieces, Shandalynn and Evancia Barlow, Shavanna Browning, and Shatara Barlow; three nephews, Darius and Gari Browning and Dealbro Barlow; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Barlow; aunts, Mary Bell and Betty Barlow; and cousin, Tracy George.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Rhoads, Jerryl Yarbrough, Otis Stanton, Edrick Williams, Somari Bryant and Charles Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Barlow, Charlie Barlow, Arthur Castle, Karl Brown, Clay Hightower, Dexter Wright, Fred Loche, Mike Anderson, Steven Browning, Gary Browning, Voyce Barlow, Rayford Barlow and Barry Pleasant.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
