Mary Helen Herrington

Memorial services for Mary Helen Herrington, 81, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lufkin's First Baptist Church with Dr. Andy Pittman and Reverend Aubrey Knox officiating.

Mrs. Herrington was born July 28, 1929 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Thalia Jane (Snyder) and Eber Webb, and died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in a local hospital. She had resided in Lufkin since 1994 and attended Lufkin's First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Herrington of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Betty Herrington of Houston and Carl and Virginia Herrington of Kennesaw, Georgia; grandchildren, Emily Hartzog, Ryan Hartzog, James Herrington III and wife Shanti, Nathan Herrington and partner Brian Nord, all of Houston, Amanda Stewart and husband Jeremy of Bryan, Heather Sweetman and husband Matt of Chicago, Illinois, David Herrington and wife Daniella of St. Louis, Missouri and Jono Herrington and wife Naomi of Kennesaw, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Haley, Abigail, and Madison Hartzog, all of Houston, Jones and Macrae Sweetman, both of Chicago, Illinois and Claire Herrington of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Patsy Rhodes of Houston; sister-in-law, Patsy Herrington of Lake Providence, Louisiana; special nephew, Ronnie Rhodes of Houston; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Herrington was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James T. ""Jim"" Herrington, Sr.; sister, Sue Meason and husband Bob; brother, Jack Webb and wife Loyce; and brother-in-law, Billy Herrington.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Herrington III, Nathan Herrington, Jeremy Stewart, Brian Nord, Ryan Hartzog and Gene Dorsett.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lufkin's First Baptist Church, 106 East Bremond Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
