Funeral services for Curtis M. Keene, 62, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Jack Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Keene was born October 16, 1947, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the late Jessie (Loftin) and Cecil Keene. He died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Keene had been self-employed in auto sales for 46 years. Throughout his life, was very active in softball and golf. The greatest loves of his life were his sons, Jamie and Ethan, and his granddaughters. Behind that, was his love for drag racing. Mr. Keene had lived in Lufkin most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Keene of Lufkin; sons, Jamie Keene and Ethan Keene, both of Lufkin; brother, Michael Keene of Lufkin; and granddaughters, Hailey Keene and Crystal Huggins, both of Lufkin.
Pallbearers will be Dick Lambing, Dennis Luna, Ray Parker, Greg Strait, Greg Williams and Dee Winston.
Honorary pallbearers are his Pine Valley Raceway friends.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
