Funeral services for Fay Pace, 66, of Diboll will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Glenn Washburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mrs. Pace was born October 19, 1943 in Pineland, Texas to Ada (Lewis) and the late Arlie Stephenson. She died Friday, April 23, 2010 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Pace was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed country and western music, dancing and fishing. Mrs. Pace loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was of the Assembly of God faith, and had resided most of her life in Hudson.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Pace of Diboll; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Tracy Pace of Diboll; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise ""Sissie"" and Dewey Crager of Lufkin and Ginger and Terry Wesley of Etoile; daughter-in-law, Sheila Pace of Central; 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; mother, Ada Stephenson of Tennessee; brothers, Jimmy Stephenson of Jasper and Bill Stephenson of Lufkin; sisters, Helen Stephenson of Las Vegas and Betty Badger of Tennessee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Pace was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Pace; grandson, Chris Westmoreland; brother, Joe Stephenson; and sisters, Esther Massey and Ann Washburn.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Norton, Scott Pace, Anthony Cunningham, Dewey Crager, Terry Dale Wesley, Jr., and Eddie Martin, Jr.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
