Lupe H. Perez

Funeral services for Lupe H. Perez, 66, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Apostolic Church of Burke with Pastor Paul Mettlen and Brother Willie Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Perez was born March 16, 1944 in Rio Bravo, Mexico to the late Lorenza (Rodriguez) and Agustin Hernandez, and died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in a local hospital. She had resided in Lufkin for 36 years. Mrs. Perez was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Burke.

Survivors include her husband, Isidro Perez, Sr. of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Clorinda and Lorenzo Arteaga of Houston, Maria P. and Teodocio Ocon of Nacogdoches, Eunice and Gerardo Rodriguez of Rocky Face, Georgia and Joan and Jimmy Inman of Lufkin; sons and daughter-in-law, Isidro Perez, Jr. and fiancee Geneva Barker and Nicholas and Brianna Perez, all of Lufkin; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Lee Rodriguez, Seth Arteaga, Jeremy Arteaga, Samuel Arteaga, Chris Inman, Isidro Perez, Jr., Nicholas Perez and Benancio Ocon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Inman, U.S. Marine Corps Recruit, and Edward Ocon.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
