Funeral services for Charles Edward Bryan, 62, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend Arthor Bridges, Reverend Barry G. Burch and Reverend Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in San Augustine County.

Mr. Bryan was born August 5, 1948 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Martha Ellen (Williams) and Edward Bryan, and died Monday, March 21, 2011 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Bryan was a foreman at Ceco Corp. for 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Charles ""Chuck"" and Debra Bryan of Splendora, Christopher Edward Bryan of Crosby and Brandon Lee Bryan of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; sisters, Virginia ""Ginger"" Evans of Zavalla, Connie Sue Varner of Nacogdoches and Cathy Lou Foss of Belton, Missouri; brother, James Arthur Bryan of Nacogdoches; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Ann Moore.

Pallbearers will be Bob Foss, Shane Evans, Tim Evans, Larry Varner, John Bryan and Tommy Carrell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care provided by Heart to Heart Hospice.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
