Funeral services for Lena Clarke, 93, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with interment following the services, officiated by Reverend Becky Love.
Mrs. Clarke was born July 5, 1917 in Houston, Texas to the late Mary (Fasullo) and Pete DeSalvo, and died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at PineCrest. A former resident of Pasadena and Diboll, she had resided in Lufkin for 7 years. Mrs. Clark retired from the Pasadena National Bank, following 15 years of employment as a loan officer. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Tate of Diboll; son, Ian Griffith of San Bernardino, California; grandsons, Barry Tate and wife Vicki of Magnolia and Jimmy Tate of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Erdman and husband Mark of The Woodlands, Zachary Tate, Nicolas Tate, both of Magnolia, and Lena Tate of Lufkin; great-great-grandson, Gavin Tate Erdman of The Woodlands; and cousins, Vita Palermo, Antionette Patronella and Sammy Sedita, all of Houston.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clarke was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Clarke; brother, Vincent DeSalvo; and son-in-law, Morris Tate.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, July 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
