R.C. Adams

Graveside services for R. C. Adams, 84, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aldredge Cemetery with Pastor Mark Wilke officiating.

Mr. Adams was born September 3, 1925 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Della (Herring) and Neal R. Adams, and died Sunday, July 11, 2010 in a local nursing home. He had resided in the Lufkin area for 45 years and retired from C.A. White Trucking. Mr. Adams was a Christian.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Adams of Lufkin; daughter, Jeannie Horan of Lufkin; granddaughters, Tiffany Brooks and husband Rodney and Shannon Chaviers and husband Chisum, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Riley Brooks and Kaden Chaviers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
