Taylor Ryan Chambers

Funeral services for Taylor Ryan Chambers, 20, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Grigg and Dr. John Greene officiating. Private family graveside services will follow.

Taylor was born May 6, 1990 in Lufkin, Texas to Tricia M. (Sherrard) and Tim F. Chambers, and died Monday, February 7, 2011 in New Mexico.

Taylor was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and a 2008 graduate of Lufkin High School. He attended Tyler Jr. College and Angelina College, and had recently enlisted in the U.S. Army. Taylor loved skateboarding and being with his friends. He was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mom, Tricia Chambers of Lufkin; dad and stepmom, Tim and Melinda Chambers of Lufkin; brothers, Patrick Chambers and Kyle Chambers, both of Lufkin; grandparents, Ava Chambers of Lufkin and Rose and Claude Sherrard of Pollok; uncles and aunts, Jonathan Chambers of Zavalla, Robert and Lisa Sherrard of Pollok and David and Cindy Sherrard of Lufkin; numerous cousins and other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Franklin Chambers; and cousin, Bradley Sherrard.

Pallbearers will be close friends of Taylor.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
