Funeral services for Ann Reynolds, 77, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother William Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mrs. Reynolds was born December 13, 1933, in Angelina County, Texas, to the late Jessie (Weeks) and Lawrence J. Massingill. She died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Reynolds was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress and made all of her husband's preaching suits. She was a member of Stryker Baptist Church, and had lived in Angelina County all her life.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Brother Thomas Reynolds of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Pat Reynolds of Georgetown; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and James McEntire, Kristine and Jon Dippel, all of Lufkin, and Roxan and John Hobbs of Richmond; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Reynolds; grandson, Allen McEntire; and sisters, Thama Barnes, Earlene Snook and Syble Crowley.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. John McEntire, Travis Reynolds, Aaron McEntire, Robert B. McEntire, David Hobbs and Trey Dippel.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
