Grimes Ellis Bell, 84, was born July 27, 1926 in Corrigan, Texas and passed to his Heavenly home Monday, December 27, 2010 in Richmond Texas following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Bell served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Southland Paper Mill and retired from Lufkin Conroe Communications in 1991 after 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hobbs Bell; stepsons, Robert H. Hobbs and wife Ann of Kingwood and John V. Hobbs and wife Sharon of Richmond; granddaughter, Ashley Hobbs; grandsons, David Hobbs, Scott Hobbs and Philip Hobbs; daughters by his previous wife, Theresa Bell and Debbie Nerren and husband Lonnie; granddaughter, Brooke Havard; and grandson, Rance Nerren and wife Shelby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bell and Evie (Stringer) Bell Walker; grandson, Chris Havard; brothers, Fred, Wiley, Marlon and Joseph; sister, Lucille; first wife, Ossie (Smithhart) Bell; and beloved stepfather, ""Walt"" Walker.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert B. Satterfield and the many other doctors, nurses and friends too numerous to list for their care and compassion.

In accordance with Mr. Bell's wishes, a private memorial service was held December 30, 2010 with burial following in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
