Santos Del Toro

Funeral services for Santos Del Toro, 86, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Kannampuzha officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Del Toro was born November 1, 1924 in Houston, Texas to the late Tiburcia (Estrada) and Ismael Del Toro, and died Friday, November 26, 2010 in a local hospital. He had resided in Lufkin 33 years and was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons, Ismael Del Toro and David Del Toro, both of Lufkin; daughters, Olivia Rivera of Corrigan, San Juana Maldonado, Isidra Esparza, Esperanza Cabrera, all of Lufkin, Irma Saucedo of San Antonio and Martha Torres of Lufkin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Eugenia Del Toro of Lufkin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Del Toro was preceded in death by his wife, Maria (Cortes) Del Toro.

Pallbearers will be David Del Toro, Jose Luis Torres, Jr., Peter Maldonado, Guadalupe Torres, Jr., Jesse Maldonado, Jr. and Jesse Maldonado III.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
