Memorial services for Sue Ann ""Mama Sue"" Wittman, 61, of Zavalla will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Adrian Neal officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wittman was born September 12, 1949 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Jessie Lee (Walton) and David Baker Pattillo, and died Thursday, February 3, 2011 in a local hospital.
A former resident of Houston, Mrs. Wittman had resided in Zavalla for 10 years. She was an electrician for Bragg's Electric for 19 years. Mrs. Wittman was an avid hunter and fisherman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, and she always had a garden. Mrs. Wittman was a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Gary Wittman of Zavalla; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Denice Powell, Ricky and Dana Powell, all of Zavalla, Lucius III and Treva O'Quinn of Stonewall and Jason and Tammy O'Quinn of Pearland; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Matt Harris of Gilbert, Arizona and Tracy and James Johnson of Lufkin; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jim Johnson of Camden, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Bates of Zavalla; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sandy Pattillo of Kountze; sister-in-law and husband, Sherry and Earl Dickson of Shreveport, Louisiana; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wittman was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bill Wittman.
