Carol F. Davis

Funeral services for Carol F. Davis, 71, of Hudson will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born August 14, 1938 in San Augustine County, Texas to the late Jennie Lee (Key) and W.S. ""Bill"" Brewer, and died Monday, August 2, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Davis had resided in Hudson most of her life and was retired from Johnny Jackson/State Farm Insurance, where she worked in Customer Service. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a #1 cook, especially during the holidays. Mrs. Davis loved the Hill Country during the bluebonnets season, and enjoyed sitting on her patio watching nature. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Tammy Davis of Nacogdoches; daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Sherwin Davis of Dallas and Elizabeth and Scott Robinson of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Samantha, Felicia, Dustin and Stormy; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jada; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Larry Berry of Hudson, Elizabeth and Leon Ware of San Augustine and Shirley Cole of DeRidder, Louisiana; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Davis; son, Qunnen Davis; daughter, Judia Davis; and brother, Anson ""Gus"" Brewer.

Pallbearers will be Keith Jennings, David Berry, Pat Knox, Todd Smith, Scott Robinson and Sherwin Davis.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
