Nancy Lynette Dixon

Funeral services for Nancy Lynette Dixon, 53, of Pollok, will be held Monday, September 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Denman Avenue Baptist Church in Lufkin with Pastor Charles Roberts and Bro. Kevin Roy officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mrs. Dixon was born May 11, 1957, in Houston, Texas; and she passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Dixon was a Mail Carrier for the Pollok Post office for 13 years, and had resided in Pollok for the past 27 years. She was a 1975 graduate of Sam Houston High School. Mrs. Dixon was also a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church, where she was active with the DABC Youth Ministry and the Celebration Choir.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Bobby Dixon of Pollok; daughter, April Dixon of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Carrie Dixon of Pollok, Michael and Ashley Dixon of Humble; granddaughters, Grace Dixon, Katherine Dixon and Kalli Dixon, all of Pollok; parents, A.G. and Mary Nell Patterson of Lufkin; mother-in-law, JoAnn Dixon of Livingston; brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny and Felicia Patterson of Jewett, Glenn Patterson of Sierra Vista, Arizona; sister-in-law, Lavina Patterson of Houston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Dixon; brother, Larry Patterson; and father-in-law, Tommy Dixon.

Pallbearers will be Trent Tankersley, Craig Smith, Jeff Awtrey, Brian Barone, Tim Flynt, John Jordan, Ryan Reed and Paul Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chadd Caperton and the Adult II Sunday School Class.
