Elouise Nerren Forrest

Funeral services for Elouise ""Cricket"" Nerren Forrest, 84, of Huntington will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Flat Baptist Church with Brother Adrian Neal and Brother Tommy Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mrs. Forrest was born February 1, 1926 in Huntington, Texas to the late Bulah (Ballard) and Bill Nerren, and died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Forrest had resided in Huntington most of her life. She was the Office Manager for Beall's for over 16 years. Mrs. Forrest was a volunteer foster grandparent at the Lufkin State School for 16 years, and through this program she also volunteered in the 1st through 3rd grades at Huntington ISD. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and church. Mrs. Forrest was a life member of Oak Flat Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Marie Forrest of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Clark Bewley of Huntington; grandchildren, Torri and Scott Adams, Kristopher and Jennifer Forrest, William and Donna Frazier, Thomas and Shanon Frazier, Stephen and Tonya Frazier and Niles and Samira Frazier; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Forrest was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Forrest in 1972; and brothers and sisters, Elsie Summers, Johnnie Nerren, Merle Nerren, Doyle Nerren, Jim B. Nerren, Billy Earl Nerren, Lee Nerren, Jean Stone, Polly Kirkland and Finace Chamblee.
Pallbearers will be Sherman Casper, Sammy Kirkland, Carl Davis, Troy McClesky, Lynn Runnels and Ed Snelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Forrest's church family from Oak Flat Baptist Church and Randy Murray.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Flat Baptist Church, 3447 FM 2109, Huntington, Texas 75949.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Oak Flat Baptist Church.
