Lester W. Fairchild

Graveside services for Lester W. Fairchild, Jr., 53, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Renfro Cemetery with David Barclay and Jack Fairchild officiating.

Mr. Fairchild was born July 15, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to Jackie (Pruett) and the late Lester W. Fairchild, Sr. He died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Fairchild was the Owner of Area Lake Catfish, and had resided in the Lufkin area all his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a master shooter in sporting clays. Mr. Fairchild adored his grandchildren, who affectionately called him ""Big Daddy.""

Survivors include his wife, Marie Fairchild of Lufkin; sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kimberly Fairchild of Fort Worth, and Jerry Haubert of Tennessee Colony; grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Shyann and Dakota; his mother, Jackie Fairchild of Kilgore; brother, Dennis Ray Fairchild of Kilgore; sisters, Debbie Bell, Mary Jane Jimmerson, Letha Sue Martin, and Delissa Hayes, all of Kilgore; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Lowrey, Eldon Fuller, Donald Scogins, Donald Self, Roy Carroway, Jr., Trent Troutman, Patrick Fairchild and Jerry Taylor.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
