Memorial services for Lois M. Bellamy, 90, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington with Brother Brian Williams officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Ms. Bellamy was born August 27, 1919 in Zavalla, Texas to the late Artie (Windsor) and L.B. Colwell, and died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in a local nursing home. She resided in Lufkin most of her life and retired from the Lufkin State School.
Survivors include her daughters, Nelda Lois Treadaway Autra of Etoile and Wanda Christine Crawford of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Bellamy of Bryan; grandchildren, Royce Wayne Treadaway, Tamela Marie Baker, Ronald Mark Treadaway, Richard Lynn Treadaway, Dana Denise Crawford Jones, Amy Lois Williams, Heather Michelle Fruge', Cory Michael Bellamy, Joshua Daniel Bellamy and Michael David Bellamy; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Windred Colwell of Clear Lake.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Bellamy was preceded in death by her son, Micheal Daniel Bellamy; daughter, Glenda Joyce Bellamy; son-in-law, Michael Dean Autra; brothers, Jessie Colwell and T.J. Colwell; and sister, Annie Mae Havard.
