Cleo A. Warner

January 10, 1921 — August 22, 2010

Cleo A. Warner, 89, of Lufkin died Sunday, August 22, 2010 in a local nursing home. She was born January 10, 1921 in Diboll, Texas, the only child of Oma Mae (Smith) Bowlus and Claude Bowlus. Her father was a mill foreman and her mother was a housewife.

Mrs. Warner was the widow of a respected chiropractor, Dr. C.E. Warner. She retired from the Texas Foundry where she worked as a secretary for close to 23 years. Mrs. Warner taught piano and voice for many years, starting when she graduated college. She continued to teach right up until the time she became ill in June of 2010.

Mrs. Warner leaves no blood relatives, but does leave countless friends and all her beloved music students whom she counted as her family.

Mrs. Warner was an avid lover of her dogs and instead of flowers, a donation to the Winnie Berry Pet Adoption Center, P.O. Box 472, Lufkin, Texas 75902, or other animal humane society would be appreciated.

Mrs. Warner will be interred beside her husband in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, but no service will be held per her own wishes. We will all remember her at her piano, teaching the music she loved to the students she loved.

Carroway Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors.
