Johnathan Ryan Green

Memorial services for Johnathan Ryan Green, 20, of Tarkington Prairie will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Shade Baptist Church in Cleveland with Brother Jerry Bontrager and Brother Timothy Magee officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Johnathan was born August 29, 1990 in Houston, Texas, and died Monday, February 21, 2011 in Lufkin. He was a graduate of Tarkington High School, a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Johnathan had lived in Lufkin for the past year and was in the Geek Squad at Best Buy. He was a member of Oak Shade Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Rebecca Green of Tarkington Prairie; brother, 3rd Class Petty Officer Kyle Green of Tarkington Prairie; sister, Shannon Green of Tarkington Prairie; grandparents, Linda Green of Channelview, Margaret Crockett of Jasper, Alabama and C.E. ""Gene"" and Cindy Green of Texarkana, Arkansas; uncles and aunts, Billy Green of La Porte, Kenneth and Gabriela Green of Spring, Kim Green of Jacksonville, Florida and Tammy Harmon of Hooks; and cousins, William Robert Green of La Porte, Erica Slifer of Hooks and Alyssa Green of Jacksonville, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Owen Crockett; and aunt, Polly Ann Crockett.
