Marcus Dwain Lane

Graveside services for Marcus ""Dwain"" Lane, 64, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Don Lofton officiating.
Mr. Lane was born December 25, 1945 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Annie ""Claudia"" (Harvell) and Wesley ""E.O."" Lane, and died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Lane was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. He graduated from Diboll High School in 1964 and attended Kilgore Junior College. Mr. Lane always wanted to drive a truck and did for almost 30 years; that was his passion. He was such a devoted husband and father to his family, they were the love of his life. Mr. Lane's grandchildren were so special. He also loved the Lord and because of that, no matter how sick he got or how bad things seemed, he was always able to laugh and tell everyone that God would always take care of him. Mr. Lane was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus.
Survivors include his wife of 45 wonderful years, Linda Lane of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Marci Lynn Lane of Lufkin, Leigh Anne and Michael Yong of Savoy and Kimberly Michelle Lane of Lufkin; grandchildren, Shelbi Jones, Kailey Jones, Dakota Jones, all of Savoy, Kaileb Lane and Ryleigh Lane, both of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Bonnie Harrell of Lufkin; aunt, Jacqueline Bynum of Lufkin; uncle, Prue Lane of Lumberton; and his special little dog, Sassy.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
