Laurale Cecile Jones Holeyfield

Funeral services for Laurale Cecile Jones Holeyfield, 61, of Greenwood, Louisiana will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Harold Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Ms. Holeyfield was born November 10, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to Hazel Faye (Page) and Herbert Wayne Jones, and died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in a local hospital.

Ms. Holeyfield was a longtime resident of the Shreveport, Louisiana area. She was a Lufkin High School graduate and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Ms. Holeyfield also graduated from Respiratory School at Bossier Community College and from Commercial College, Shreveport, where she majored in Commercial Art. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her mother, Hazel Faye Jones of Lufkin; daughters, Tara Baker and husband Floyd of Huntington, Laura Henderson and Keri Holeyfield, both of Haughton, Louisiana; grandsons, Justin Robertson of Huntington and Layne Henderson of Haughton, Louisiana; granddaughters, Meghan Robertson of Shreveport, Louisiana, Morgan Cayton of Haughton, Louisiana, Destiny Baker and Emily Baker, both of Huntington; and best friends, Carolyn Spears, Debbie Richardson, John Howard and Eddie Heintz.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Wayne Jones; grandparents, Willie A. ""Buster"" and Allie (Collier) Page and Bert M. and Leona (Havard) Jones; and uncles, Harold, Eulon, J.T. ""Buddy"" and Willie Page.

Pallbearers will be Justin Robertson, Floyd Baker, Layne Henderson, Bill Clark, Douglas Page, Eddie Heintz and Rhett Clark.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
