Willene Era Dickerson

Funeral services for Willene Era Dickerson, 92, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Eddie Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.

Mrs. Dickerson was born September 3, 1918 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Kate Gertrude (Barnum) and Floyd Lee Brantley, and died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in a local nursing home. She had resided in Lufkin for 24 years and was a member of Keltys Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Ben Pleasant of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Lee and Karen Dyer of Houston; grandchildren, Jerry Thomas Pleasant, Leslie Kay Cooper, both of Baytown, Randy Keith Dyer and Cary Lee Dyer, both of Houston; great-granddaughters, Erica Pleasant and Tessie Miller, both of Baytown; two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Elizabeth Brantley of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dickerson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Erwin Dickerson; and brothers, Charles Lee Brantley and Benford B. Brantley.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Pleasant, Randy Dyer, Cary Dyer and Todd Partin.
