Jewel Ruth Morton Loving

Funeral services for Jewel Ruth Morton Loving, 83, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Frankens and Reverend Elzine Strong officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Loving was born February 26, 1927 in Etoile, Texas to the late Lillie (Mooney) and J.W. Morton, and died Saturday, October 2, 2010 in a local hospital. She had resided in Diboll since 1982 and was a seamstress. Mrs. Loving was a member of the Diboll United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Allen Caruthers of La Porte; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tina Loving of Moss Hill; adoptive daughter, Carolyn Morton Anderson of Alabama; grandchildren, Calvin Sellers of La Porte and Shanna Sellers Kegel of Austin; great-grandchildren, Chase Sellers of La Porte and Sarah Kegel of Austin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady ""Dean"" and Audie Morton of Pasadena, Neil and Frances Morton of Woden and Robbie and Marilyn Morton of Highlands; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Loving was preceded in death by her husband, Jettie E. Loving; three sisters; and four brothers.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
