Christopher Gene Kalka

Memorial services for Christopher Gene Kalka, 35, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roger Justus officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Kalka was born August 9, 1974 in Junction, Texas to Judy (Kimmell) and Robert Dale Kalka, Sr., and died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mr. Kalka was a giving person, loved his family, and never met a stranger. He was a family man, and a good man all around. Mr. Kalka enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had worked for Rent-A-Center, was a member of the Rivercrest Volunteer Fire Department, and attended the Little Country Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Kalka of Lufkin; son, Christopher Aaron Kalka; stepdaughter, Brittany Deann Justus; stepson, John David Justus II; mother and stepfather, Judy and Lloyd ""Cowboy"" Harper; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Dale, Jr. and Pam Kalka and Joseph Aubrey Kalka; special friends, Roger and Charlene Justus; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Kalka, Sr.; grandparents; and special friend, Chris Justus.
