Edna Marie Pipes Stover, 59, of Alto, was born February 19, 1951, in Houston, Texas. She died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stover was employed as Head Cook for the Lufkin State School for nine years. She had resided in the Alto area for 20 years. Mrs. Stover attended the Word of Life Church. Her greatest joys were her family and her animals.
Survivors include her husband, William N. Stover of Alto; son, Kenneth William Pipes of Alabama; mother, Gwen Singletary of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Irene George, Linda Faye and Gail Burns, all of Alabama; brother, William Bryan Vaughn of Alabama; sister-in-law, Donna Harris of Alto; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph M. Pipes, and her stepfather, Charles W. Singletary.
