John Stovall White

Graveside services for John Stovall White, 79, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Cindy Parker officiating.

Mr. White was born July 14, 1931 in Fastrill, Texas to the late Ollie Victoria (Stovall) and Jimmy Lee White, Sr., and died Monday, October 18, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mr. White had resided in Lufkin since 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed at Southwest Color for 35 years. Mr. White was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M. and a member of Keltys United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Danny Walker of Denver, Colorado and Suzanne and Bill Stroud of Lufkin; grandchildren, Shone Eddings, Corrie Smith, Micah Duke, Taylor Stroud and Parker Stroud; three great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Joy White of Diboll, Katherine White of Houston, Ada White of Etoile and Sandra Hough of Lufkin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Patty White; and son, John Marvin White.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
