Edward E. Smith

Graveside services for Edward E. Smith, 66, of Pollok will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Cemetery in Polk County with Reverend Ross Black officiating.

Mr. Smith was born August 19, 1944 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Claudie Mae (Hearn) and Martin A. Smith, and died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in a local nursing home. A resident of Houston most of his life, he had resided in Pollok for 10 years. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Lester Glaze of Pollok, Ada White of Etoile, Sherril and J.C. McClendon of Corrigan and Charlotte Jo and Burt Hall of Normangee; sister-in-law, Jackie Smith of Lufkin; special friends, Margie Lankford, Mike Barrychuck, Kenneth Short and Sue Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
