Aline Goodwin James Burnett

Funeral services for Aline Goodwin James Burnett, 83, of Pollok will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery.

Mrs. Burnett was born May 1, 1927 in Pollok, Texas to the late Nellie (Choate) and George Luther Goodwin, and died Monday, October 4, 2010 in a local nursing home. She resided in Pollok most of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Burnett loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family. She was a Christian.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Marion James of Nacogdoches, Joe James of Germany, Henry and Carolyn Burnett of Pollok and George and J.T. Burnett of San Augustine; daughters and sons-in-law, Robbie and Greg Kendrick of Hudson and Mickie and Bruce Clifton of Pollok; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Barbara Goodwin of Pollok; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Burnett; daughter, Vickie Oates; brother, W.N. Goodwin; and sister, Susie Nell (Tincy) Gregorcyk.

Pallbearers will be Charles Burnett, Jessie Burnett, Burl Ferguson, Joey Davis, James Gregorcyk and John Gregorcyk.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
